The design of the three storeyed house integrates site constraints and specific brief requirements to enable simple, easy-to-live-in spaces that enhance the ambiance and experience of the magnificent ocean surroundings.

A raised garden provides spatial flow between interior and exterior as well as wind sheltered entertaining spaces.  The glazed walls of the living room allow for ocean views to be maintained whilst entertaining from the garden even when the wind is whipping up.

Weatherboarding in varied widths echo the sparkling surface of the constantly shifting and rippling of the sea surface. Guillotined schist cladding, installed on edge, with two-tone plastered walls, recessed projections and overhanging shading screens enhance the street-scape. Carefully crafted details and splendidly exquisite materials provide a luxurious interior.

Critical to the successful delivery of the vision was extensive thought, innovative creative design, careful integration of structural engineering design, and skilled construction. It is a home which is a delight to experience, easy to maintain and a quiet retreat.
